A 14-year-old Brazilian boy recently passed away, and it’s suspected that his death might have been connected to him using leftover parts from butterflies as an injection. The authorities in Brazil are not yet ruling out the possibility that this tragic incident may be linked to a social media trend.
Davi Nunes Moreira passed away at the hospital in Planalto, Brazil, having endured severe discomfort for seven days after receiving an injection.
On Wednesday, February 12, it was said that he had prepared a concoction by immersing a deceased butterfly in water, which he later self-administered intravenously, prior to his passing.
After letting his father know about the injury he sustained during play, Davi’s health unexpectedly worsened quickly. At that critical moment, he chose to be honest with his father and the medical team attending to him.
Although the autopsy results aren’t conclusive yet, it appears Davi’s death may have been due to toxic substances in the mixture triggering a severe reaction leading to his system failure and septic shock.
Was it part of a social media trend?
In Brazil, some sources suggest that Moreira’s death may be linked to a popular social media challenge, but the police have not definitively confirmed or rejected this theory, as there is currently insufficient evidence to substantiate it.
