Towerborne's Duskveil Update Brings Autumn Season, Gobo-ween Tricks & Balance Changes

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for co-op action RPGs, I must say that the Duskveil update for Towerborne has been nothing short of a delightful surprise! It’s not just about the spooky new gear; it’s about the fresh wave of enhancements that have truly enriched my adventure.

A month after Towerborne’s Early Access launch in September 2024, this month saw the release of its first major update on PC via Steam. Known as the Duskveil update, the developers at Stoic implemented various balance adjustments, optimizations, and gameplay tweaks, and perhaps included a few eerie surprises for players to discover.

The developer outlines the latest modifications and additional features in the official patch notes on Steam, emphasizing that the Duskveil update is more than just a seasonal transformation with an abundance of eerie new equipment; it’s also a surge of improvements to heighten your experience within Towerborne. The team at Stoic is excited to fulfill their commitment to providing regular content updates. As a mysterious chill settles over the Belfry, it fosters a captivatingly chilling atmosphere that seems to invite unwelcome visitors into their world.

The Duskveil update brings some new features to Towerborne, such as repeatable Discovery Missions. These allow players to replay different missions in each biome, providing an opportunity for more challenging levels to be unlocked. According to the patch notes, these missions won’t grant Writs or open up new areas, but they do offer variety and a fresh challenge until further content becomes available.

In this update, we’ve introduced Replayable Discover Missions along with various modifications to missions and exploration. These include an increase in Venture Quests, the addition of new Healing Shrines, alterations to the Sten Umbra Shrine puzzles, and more. The developer has also taken notice of player feedback regarding a particular character class, the Sentinel, and made significant combat balance changes that predominantly affect this class. Further adjustments, or “additional tweaks,” for the Sentinel are planned for future updates.

The latest update has brought enhanced user interface, user experience, and graphic design to the game, making gameplay smoother and sharpening visual aspects for optimal clarity. Additionally, modifications have been made to various opponents, with these adjustments aiming to polish rough spots in enemy characters or game mechanics.

Hey there fellow gamers! With October rolling in, it feels like Halloween has taken over the Belfry in Towerborne with the latest Duskveil update. This means we’ve got some spooktacular themed content up for grabs!
