In collaboration with Xbox Game Studios, developer Stoic unveiled their free-to-play action RPG Towerborne in June 2023, serving as the game’s publisher. The game subsequently became available through Steam Early Access on September 10th, 2024. Since its release, Towerborne has been thriving due to its positive reception.
Since Xbox Game Studios is publishing Towerborne, it was only a matter of time before it became available on Xbox consoles and Windows PC. Fortunately, the developers recently provided an update about the game’s upcoming release on Xbox in their latest blog post, where they announced the specific date for its launch on Xbox – and it’s coming soon!

After Towerborne was launched on Steam Early Access, it has received five significant game updates that primarily focused on fixing bugs, optimizing performance, and improving the overall game mechanics. However, the developer also added new content to the game such as missions, localization support (for additional languages), cosmetics, boss fights, weapons, and equipment. Additionally, they fine-tuned the combat system, UI, key bindings, and various aspects of gameplay to enhance players’ gaming experience.
As a gamer, I’m super excited because the devs have confirmed that Update 6, which primarily focuses on Class Mastery, will drop on Towerborne on 29th April 2025. What’s even more thrilling is that they’ve hinted at an expansion to a new platform too! A developer post revealed that Towerborne will be making its way onto Xbox on the same day, 29th April 2025, and you can add it to your Wishlist now.
