Top Movies Hitting Peacock in May 2025: ‘The Hunt’, ‘Black Bag’, ‘Love Hurts’, ‘John Wick’, ‘Nope’

Without fail, it presents an impressive selection of films each month, ranging from timeless classics to fresh releases. Intriguingly, two movies slated for release on the platform in May were still playing in cinemas just a couple of months back, boasting star-studded casts that are sure to captivate audiences.

Next month, a wide array of captivating movies featuring top-notch actors will keep viewers hooked, regardless of their choice. Ranging from chilling horror flicks to thrilling spy stories and many more genres, Peacock subscribers won’t struggle to find an engaging movie for their upcoming movie night. Although these films aren’t original productions, they will only be available on the streaming platform throughout the entire month.

‘The Hunt’

The movie titled ‘The Hunt’ is an action-horror film about a group of 12 individuals who find themselves in an unfamiliar clearing, each with a gag on their mouths and a small collection of guns nearby. They can’t remember how they arrived there or the reason for their abduction. It doesn’t take them long to figure out that they’re in a lethal game.

It’s revealed that some merciless aristocrats have transported them to a secluded area for the sake of hunting them as entertainment. The events proceed as anticipated until one of the targeted individuals, Crystal (Betty Gilpin), puts up a strong resistance and starts reversing the situation on those chasing her. The Hunt will be streaming from May 1st.

‘Black Bag’

Under the guidance of director Steven Soderbergh, the film titled Black Bag unfolds as a gripping spy drama. It revolves around two distinguished British intelligence agents, George (portrayed by Michael Fassbender) and Kathryn Woodhouse (played by Cate Blanchett), who share an unusual bond – they are married. After being dragged back into his violent past, Marvin finds himself facing off against his long-lost crime boss brother, Alvin “Knuckles” Gable (Daniel Wu), who’s relentlessly pursuing him. As he grapples with the repercussions of his past, he swiftly utilizes his old skills as an assassin. Featuring stars like Marshawn Lynch, this film offers a delightful blend of action and comedy. Love Hurts will be available for streaming on May 9th.

‘John Wick’ Franchise

The John Wick franchise, boasting a fifth movie, a TV show, and an upcoming film titled Ballerina within the same universe, has undeniably left a significant mark. Keanu Reeves portrays the lead character in this series, where John Wick re-enters his dangerous profession following a robbery that leads to the death of his beloved beagle puppy. This dog was instrumental in helping him deal with the recent loss of his wife.

This intriguing blend of neo-Western science fiction and horror unfolds in a small California town where siblings OJ (played by Daniel Kaluuya) and Emerald Haywood (Keke Palmer), who run a ranch, find themselves investigating the bizarre occurrence of objects mysteriously falling from the sky.

In the meantime, Ricky ‘Jupe’ Park, owner of a local amusement park, tries to capitalize on the mysterious occurrence, with potentially disastrous results. This film, filled with suspense and unpredictable twists, keeps viewers gripped until the final moments. Catch Nope starting May 18.
