Looking for something to watch this Halloween? Here are Ebaster’s five favorite shows on Prime Video to stream from October 27th to 31st, 2025 – whether you want a scary movie marathon or something comforting and fresh.
Truth Seekers
If you have Prime Video, don’t miss your chance to watch Truth Seekers! This funny series about paranormal investigations is leaving the platform on Tuesday, October 28th at 8 pm Eastern Time. Luckily, it’s a quick watch – there are only 8 episodes, and each one is about 30 minutes long, so you can easily binge it before it’s gone.
Comedic partners Nick Frost and Simon Pegg—known for hits like Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead—created the 2020 miniseries about an amateur ghost-hunting team. They both appear in the show, along with Malcolm McDowell, Samson Kayo, Emma D’Arcy, and other talented actors.
Decider praised Truth Seekers, saying that the chemistry between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is still fantastic, and the show expertly blends humor, scares, and genuine emotion. They highly recommend watching it. Since it’s available on Prime Video until Tuesday, you could easily finish the series by then and start your Halloween celebrations with a bang if you begin watching on Monday.
Hazbin Hotel
This week on Prime Video, season 2 of Hazbin Hotel is being released, starting with the first two episodes on Wednesday, October 29th. The season will conclude with its finale on November 19th. Fans are excited, and Amazon has already renewed the popular adult animated series for two more seasons – it currently has an 86% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Hazbin Hotel centers around Charlie, a princess of Hell, who tries to reform demons as a way to solve the problem of overpopulation. Though it’s animated, the show is intended for mature audiences due to its scary content and has a TV-MA rating. With only eight episodes in the first season, each under 30 minutes, you can easily catch up before the premiere of season 2 this week.
I Know What You Did Last Summer
The I Know What You Did Last Summer horror series was brought back as a TV show in 2021, before the 2025 film release. While it’s a remake of a classic slasher film and shouldn’t be expected to be groundbreaking, the series actually received better reviews than the new movie. The franchise has generally faced criticism, so the show’s Rotten Tomatoes scores don’t fully capture its appeal, especially for Halloween.
If you enjoy classic slasher movies, the new TV series I Know What You Did Last Summer might be surprisingly engaging. This 8-episode show, with each episode lasting between 44 and 58 minutes, takes a different approach than the original film – whether that’s a positive or negative depends on your preference. It feels geared towards a younger audience, but viewers of all ages will likely find something to enjoy – or at least find it entertainingly bad – in this updated take on a beloved story.
Good Omens
Good Omens is a clever and funny series with a unique premise, starring the incredible duo of David Tennant and Michael Sheen. The fantasy show also includes guest appearances by award-winning actors Jon Hamm, as Archangel Gabriel, and Frances McDormand, as God.
The fantasy series Good Omens first launched in 2019, with a second season arriving in 2023. Fans can expect a 90-minute series finale sometime between 2025 and 2026. The show centers around an angel and a demon who have grown to love life on Earth and must team up to prevent the end of the world.
Viewers loved the series, giving it a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and it’s been nominated for 3 Emmys. If you enjoy Halloween-themed shows that aren’t scary, Good Omens is a fun and spooky choice to watch on Prime Video this week.
Grimm
Grimm was a popular dark fantasy TV show that aired in the 2010s, running for six seasons and 123 episodes between 2011 and 2017. It’s a police drama centered around Nick Burkhardt, played by David Giuntoli, a detective who learns he comes from a long line of people who hunt fairytale creatures and fight supernatural threats.
Critics loved Grimm, giving it an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with some seasons even scoring a perfect 100%. Many fans have enjoyed the show for years, and its familiar, comforting format makes it a great choice for a spooky Halloween binge on Amazon Prime Video.
