Tony Hawk 3+4’s Unexpected Guitar Hero Reference Is Being Removed After Being Deemed Disrespectful

In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, there are numerous pop culture Easter eggs and references, however, some of these aren’t being well-received by everyone. A particular reference has surfaced that could potentially be unintended, leading the game’s creators to release a statement about it.

A player stumbled upon what appears to be a game similar to Guitar Hero tossed in a bin. Notably, the creators of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Neversoft, were responsible for developing several Guitar Hero titles as well. Some speculate that finding this game discarded is a sign of disregard towards Neversoft (which shut down in 2014). However, others believe it’s just a harmless joke. In response, Iron Galaxy stated they are unaware of how the game ended up there but will remove it promptly.

In simpler terms, Iron Galaxy expressed their appreciation for game creators, stating they are currently looking into how the content in question ended up there.

In the upcoming update, the studio will remove the game case found in the trash bin, and they appreciate fans for pointing it out.

It hasn’t been the first time that the release of Pro Skater 3 and 4 has caused quite a reaction, as it turns out that certain Easter eggs can only be uncovered if an additional fee is paid by players.
