A player of the game Tomodachi Life recently became popular online after painstakingly recreating an entire Taco Bell Cheesy Gordita Crunch meal within the game, crafting each detail using the game’s image creation tools.
On X (formerly Twitter), user StarlitSiren shared a detailed process of recreating a Taco Bell meal as art within a video game. They first used a website to plan the colors and layout, then carefully transferred the design into the game itself.
Living the Grid is a tool that lets you turn any image into a pixel-by-pixel color guide. You can then use this guide to recreate the image manually in Tomodachi Life using the game’s creation features.

So, from what I’ve been seeing, this whole thing took at least seven hours to finish! The creator’s been sharing progress updates, and it’s cool to see how they built the image bit by bit. They’re using this grid with colored squares as a guide – kind of like a blueprint – to make sure everything lines up perfectly.
Five hours in and I’m still at it, honestly! I’m determined to recreate the Cheesy Gordita Crunch in my Tomodachi Life game, even if I have to build it pixel by pixel. I’m not giving up until I do!
The example image showed a complete Taco Bell meal – a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, a drink, and some side items. The player carefully adjusted colors within the game to try and perfectly copy the image.

An update later showed the build was finished, and the final design appeared in the game as a “Cheesy Gordita Crunch Meal” item found at the supermarket.
“7 hours later. Pixel by pixel. Cheesy gordita crunch meal in Tomodachi Life,” the user wrote.
The artist then mentioned Taco Bell on social media, asking for their opinion and if they liked the work.
This news follows closely after Pokémon fans gained attention for bringing their beloved creatures into the game as companions.
