Towards the end of last year, Dark Horse announced their intention to re-publish Top Cow’s Tomb Raider comic book series, which was initially published from 1999 to 2005. The first volume of the Tomb Raider Mega Edition, titled “Volume 1”, is set for release on June 24 and can currently be purchased at Amazon for $93 (originally $100). This large hardcover book, consisting of 888 pages, has been available for pre-order since November. Now, you can also pre-order the even bigger second volume, titled “Tomb Raider Mega Edition Volume 2″. With a size of 944 pages, it is now available for pre-order in anticipation of its release on November 25.
Purchasing both volumes offers you nearly an entire collection of Tomb Raider: The Series, a run spanning over 50 issues. Volume 2 encompasses comics from Top Cow’s sequel series and several one-shots as well. In total, you’ll have approximately 1,800 pages of Lara Croft-centric comic book tales at your fingertips.
During the peak of the Tomb Raider franchise, Top Cow published their comics, which gained significant popularity. These comics shared continuity with the games created by Core Design, introducing minor alterations to Lara Croft’s narrative. A diverse group of skilled artists and writers were part of this series, including Dan Jurgens, Adam Hughes, Michael Turner, Andy Park, Marc Silvestri, David Finch, and many more.
