Tom Cruise, our cherished action hero, won’t stop being amazing. He’s about to wrap up the enduring Mission: Impossible series with The Final Reckoning, coming soon. Before Tom graces the big screen again, he took things up a notch by scaling… the BFI in London! Yes, you heard that right. At a special event, Tom reflected on his remarkable filmography and career to date. Instead of simply reminiscing about past stunts, Tom chose to astound the audience by ascending the towering BFI IMAX theater after the talk was over.
@tsureil, an attendee, broadcasted on their social media platform (previously known as Twitter) footage of Tom Cruise’s latest stunt, which was held at the BFI. Their post started with a picture taken inside the BFI screening room, showing chairs arranged for Cruise and the host, accompanied by the caption “it’s happeninggggggg”. After the event concluded, instead of expressing their thoughts or reactions, they uploaded a video displaying Cruise standing on top of the BFI IMAX building, situated across the street from where the talk transpired in the main BFI building. The caption for the video read “HELLO?????
As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I can’t help but marvel again at Tom Cruise’s unparalleled dedication to his craft. His recent stunt, which involved a shocking wardrobe change on top of a theater, left me utterly bewildered. It seemed impossible that he could’ve switched outfits there, given it was an entirely different building from where the conversation was happening!
On the Tom Cruise Stunt Scale (patent pending), standing atop a movie theater may not be the highest-ranking feat — feats like scaling the Burj Khalifa or performing a HALO jump earn top marks — but it certainly took everyone in London by surprise. It was an unexpected, yet quintessentially Tom Cruise, spectacle that left us all in awe!
The ‘Mission: Impossible’ Franchise is Coming to an End
In case you decide to take up this task, try not to shed tears as the credits conclude for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” a movie due in theaters on May 23rd. This film is almost certainly the last chapter in the extended series. The cinematic saga of “Mission: Impossible,” which began with Brian De Palma in 1996 and was based on the TV show from the 1960s, will soon reach its climactic end following Ethan Hunt’s thrilling international adventures across seven movies.
In the movie “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, Tom Cruise executed three jaw-dropping stunts. One, which garnered much attention, featured Cruise dangling from a small airplane’s wing while it performed loop-the-loops. He took things up a notch with an underwater stunt, the specifics of which are still under wraps. Lastly, director Christopher McQuarrie shared with Empire Magazine this year that Cruise had carried out yet another risky stunt for the last installment of the series, with details remaining undisclosed. McQuarrie has only hinted at the third stunt, expressing, “I almost throw up just thinking about the pressure.
