Tobin Bell breaks silence on Saw 11 amid delays & “disagreement” rumors

As a dedicated Saw franchise fanatic with over two decades of experiencing the twisted traps and chilling storylines, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation, trepidation, and excitement upon hearing that Tobin Bell will reprise his iconic role as John Kramer in Saw XI.

Is Tobin Bell open to playing the role again in a new Saw movie, given that there have been whispers about production delays and disputes backstage concerning Saw 11?

10 saw the horror movie franchise make a gory comeback, largely due to the iconic actor’s reappearance, a feat facilitated by the narrative traveling back in time.

Following the post-credit sequence introducing beloved character Detective Hoffman, discussions swiftly shifted towards the potential for a new installment, dubbed “Saw XI” or “Saw 11”. In the month of December 2023, production was officially approved.

Previously, Mark Burg and Oren Koules had indicated to TopMob that if the project moved forward, their preference would be to center on Hoffman again.

However, you may wonder about Kramer’s role; according to an interview with the LA Times, Jerry (or Bell) is expected to make a comeback in Saw XI, where he will reportedly play a significant part.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t hide my thrill at the prospect of seeing John Kramer’s story unfold further. According to Bell, we’re far from done learning about this iconic character.

Since Kramer and Hoffman have both passed away in the present Saw universe, there’s a strong possibility that a prequel might be produced.

Bell’s return is welcome news for the fans, especially given the rumors surrounding Saw XI’s delay.

Initially, the premiere of the new film was scheduled for September 2024, however, it has been pushed back and will now be released in September 2025 instead.

It’s been reported that ViewerAnon, a well-known figure in the film industry, has received information from several sources suggesting that the release date could be delayed even more due to creative disputes among the producers.

After this, they posted on Twitter, “Here’s a crucial announcement regarding Saw X: I’ve been informed that the delay isn’t due to concerns about the script, creativity, or direction.

The hold-up is because Mark Burg and Oren Koules can’t see eye to eye on some issues. Since they both hold the rights, no progress can be made until they reach an agreement.

An important update on SAW XI: I’m told the current hold-up is NOT because of creative, script, or director issues. The delay is due to disagreements between Mark Burg and Oren Koules. They own the rights, nothing goes forward without both agreeing.

They emphasized that it’s unlike the scenario in Saw 3D; Kevin Greutert is part of the project, and there’s general satisfaction with how the plot is unfolding,” they further stated.

One inquired whether there’s a disagreement between Mark and Oren over who should allow Kevin to cook, to which ViewerAnon responded that they were unsure about the details of the situation.

At present, everything remains unconfirmed, making it merely gossip for now. However, what we do have certainty about is that the cast and team will be back, and a Saw 11 production is indeed planned.

Well, I’ve got to wrap things up here for now, but let me tell you, gamers are absolutely thrilled with the news that Jade is making a comeback! One of them exclaimed, “The GOAT is back!” while another couldn’t help but say, “It just isn’t Silent Hill without him.

A third person chimed in, “Excellent news! I really enjoyed the last Saw movie. It wasn’t like the previous ones, but it was a breath of fresh air to witness Kramer’s unique perspective.

Currently, Saw XI is planned for a release in September 2025. In the meantime, explore the most terrifying films inspired by real events, top Netflix horror picks for a chilling Halloween night, and all the horrors set to stream during the upcoming spooky season.
