TLOU Star Bella Ramsey Had To Remind Kit Harington Of His Lines On Game Of Thrones

It’s been seven years since Kit Harington and Bella Ramsey acted together in the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. During that time, Ramsey played Lyanna Mormont and stole fans’ hearts with their performance. Since then, Ramsey has achieved significant recognition, landing the role of Ellie in The Last of Us.

Lately, Harington sat down with Ramsey in an interview for Interview Magazine to discuss their collaboration, Ramsey’s future projects, and his recollection of being overshadowed by a young actor during the filming process. Their last encounter took place on set when Ramsey was 14, having been part of the series for the final years of its run. Ramsey joined the cast of Game of Thrones at age 11 and recalls assisting Harington in a particular scene.

Ramsey recalled not having a childlike feeling, yet finding 11-year-olds to be surprisingly small now. It’s strange to him that he once was that size and age, as he didn’t perceive himself as being so small then. This memory, which is quite clear in his mind, brings up a sense of regret for him because during that particular scene, he was mouthing your lines to you.

Ramsey explained, “At that moment, I found myself thinking, ‘Oh dear, how unfortunate.’ However, it was born out of an entirely innocent intention. I could see Kit was having trouble with his lines, so I simply mouthed the words to help him.

Harington recalled that experience without feeling upset. To put it another way, it didn’t bother him at all. Instead, he found himself thinking, “Oh dear, I need to work harder. I came here not being confident enough with my lines, underestimating the child actor. And then that child actor was outshining me.” It may not have been a competition, but it made him realize, “I’ve grown too complacent in my Jon Snow role.

Apart from discussing other topics, they briefly touched on the fact that Ramsey has begun drafting their own screenplays. They didn’t provide specifics, but hinted that this aspect is currently in a stage where it can be further developed. In jest, they mused about recruiting Harington to portray a character who is not yet old enough for the role.
