Okay, so this is wild. I just heard that the Titanic museum exhibit flooded on the very anniversary of when the ship sank! People are even saying it was…paranormal. It’s just so eerie and creepy that it happened on that specific date – you can see why folks are thinking something strange was going on!
Around the world, you can find museums and exhibits showcasing items from the Titanic. One example is the Volo Museum in Illinois, which uniquely includes a collection of cars from that era alongside Titanic artifacts.
Interestingly, the museum experienced a flood on April 14th, 114 years to the day after the Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean.
ABC News in Chicago reported that thunderstorms and heavy rain caused flooding inside a building. Staff were notified of the leak by a water sensor.
Titanic museum suffers second flood since opening
Museum staff shared on Facebook that the building has been open for three years, and it flooded very early on. Surprisingly, they haven’t been able to find any obvious cause – there are no cracks in the foundation and no broken drainage pipes.
It’s unbelievable, but our Titanic museum flooded again on the anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking. It wasn’t a joke or a planned event – it just happened, and it’s really strange.
According to Jim Wojdyla, marketing director at the Volo Museum, strange things were happening – almost like a haunting. He told ABC News that water unexpectedly appeared in various places, even under a rare and unique vehicle.
Museum staff successfully protected the valuable exhibits from water damage, and everything was saved when they quickly moved the items to safety.
It’s odd enough that our Titanic exhibit flooded, but the fact it happened on the anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking is beyond coincidence – it feels almost supernatural. We can’t explain it, and it’s definitely given us chills.
Since the tragic loss of the Titan submersible in 2023, exploring the Titanic shipwreck has been paused. But reports suggest some wealthy individuals are now considering new attempts to visit the site.
