Tingle Creator Has An Idea About Who Should Play Him In Live-Action Zelda Movie

As a diehard fan of the Legend of Zelda series, I can’t help but get excited about the upcoming live-action movie, even if it means seeing the eccentric character Tingle make an appearance on the big screen. And when it comes to who should play this green spandex-wearing oddball, I wholeheartedly agree with Takaya Imamura, the creator of the character himself.

It’s uncertain if people are eager to see Tingle from The Legend of Zelda movie portrayed live-action, given his quirky nature. However, Takaya Imamura, who created the character known for wearing green spandex, has already thought of a specific person for the role.

Through a translator, the former Nintendo artist expressed his curiosity about Tingle potentially appearing in the upcoming Zelda movie. He added, “Given that the movie has been announced, I’m quite intrigued to see if Tingle will make an appearance.” Imamura, who has also worked on Star Fox and F-Zero, expressed a strong desire for this character to be included.

Later on, Imamura expressed his desire for Masi Oka to play the role of Tingle in the movie. It was pointed out by the artist that Oka had worked previously on NBC’s Heroes, but he is also recognized for his roles in Hawaii Five-O, Bullet Train, The Meg, and other projects. Additionally, Oka is the founder of Mobius Digital, a company renowned for creating Outer Wilds, a game that received critical acclaim.

Earlier this month, Haley Joel Osment threw his hat “in the ring” to play Link in The Legend of Zelda movie. Meanwhile, Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer thinks it “would be so cool” to portray Zelda in response to fans wishcasting her for the part.

It was revealed in November that a live-action movie based on The Legend of Zelda series is being developed, with director Wes Ball (known for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) at the helm.
