Okay, so this is pretty scary – TimTheTatman actually had to go to the ER recently. He was streaming and got super emotional, and it turns out he was dealing with a heart issue. He was really upset talking about it, and honestly, it was tough to watch, but he seemed to be getting the help he needed.
While in Las Vegas, popular Twitch streamer TimTheTatman told his audience during a September broadcast that he’d begun experiencing heart palpitations during the night.
Unable to fall back asleep because he was so worried, Tim and his wife went to urgent care. The doctor diagnosed him with a very fast and uneven heartbeat.
Tim was immediately taken to the emergency room, where doctors discovered his heart was beating at 170 beats per minute. The streamer described this as a dangerously high rate.
Even after receiving medication, the YouTuber’s heart rate remained dangerously high. He had to sign a form allowing doctors to use a defibrillator to restore a normal rhythm.

TimTheTatman calls health scare a “reality check”
Although things were fine after that incident, Tim described it as a stark reminder of his family’s health history, becoming emotional as he recalled his mother’s first heart attack at age 40 and her death ten years later.
He explained that he felt like he’d received a much-needed reality check. He paused, saying he didn’t want to get too emotional, but admitted he was feeling overwhelmed with a lot of feelings.
It was so tough to watch – the streamer actually got really emotional and started crying. He needed a moment to compose himself, and honestly, it was heartbreaking to see.

I’m really grateful for this opportunity and for the support of my family, friends, and everyone here. It definitely made me realize the importance of things, and I’m treating it with the seriousness it deserves.
Tim’s cardiologist gave him the okay to get back to his usual routine, but he’s choosing to take things slowly and focus on being healthier. He’s started running, switched to decaf coffee, and stopped drinking alcohol.
“For now guys, no Michelob Ultras,” he joked. “No alcohol for me for the foreseeable future.”
