This year, to mark its 20th anniversary, Tim Burton’s beloved stop-motion animated film “Corpse Bride” is getting a special 4K Blu-ray release in a limited edition steelbook. The movie shares many distinctive features with Burton’s other projects, such as a moody art style, music by Danny Elfman, and the vocal performances of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. As of now, there isn’t a fixed release date for this collection, but you can pre-order it for $35 on Amazon.
The Corpse Bride tells the story of Victor Van Dort, played by Johnny Depp, a young bachelor who is unwillingly engaged to Victoria Everglot (Emily Watson). In an unusual turn of events, Victor unintentionally marries a deceased woman named Emily (Helena Bonham Carter) in the Land of the Dead. Now, he must navigate this supernatural realm and assist Emily in moving on from her deathly existence.
