Tim Allen, Kat Dennings ABC Comedy ‘Shifting Gears’ Casts Seann William Scott

As a seasoned movie buff with decades of cinematic adventures under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgic excitement upon hearing that Seann William Scott is joining the upcoming ABC comedy series “Shifting Gears.” With a career spanning from the riotous antics of the “American Pie” franchise to the gritty action of “Bloodline,” and everything in between, it’s fascinating to see this versatile actor stepping into a new role.

Excitedly, I’ve just learned that Seann William Scott is hopping on board for the upcoming ABC comedy series “Shifting Gears”! Can’t wait to see what he brings to the table!

Scott is set to join the main cast alongside Tim Allen, Kat Dennings, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Maxwell Simkins, and Barrett Margolis on the show. It received a series order in July, with filming scheduled to start in November.

Previously mentioned, Allen portrays Matt, a character known for being tenacious and the proprietor of a vintage car repair business, as described in the synopsis. The true rebuilding process commences when Matt’s long-lost daughter (Dennings) and her teenage offspring relocate to his residence.

In the upcoming series, Scott takes on the recurring character of Gabriel. Gabriel is depicted as a close acquaintance of Matt and Riley, who often collaborates with Matt at his workplace.

Scott has only had three main roles on television shows throughout his career so far. Before “Jackpot” and the upcoming “Bad Man,” he starred in the Fox mockumentary series “Welcome to Flatch” as well as the third season of Fox’s adaptation of “Lethal Weapon.” However, he is widely recognized for his film work, such as the two “Goon” films, the “American Pie” series, “Role Models,” “Super Troopers 2,” “The Dukes of Hazzard,” and “Bloodline.

He is repped by UTA and Sloane Offer.

Michelle Nader assumes roles as both executive producer and showrunner for the series. Alongside her, Allen takes on the role of executive producer while also starring. Dennings serves in a producing capacity. Other executive producers include Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, John Pasquin (who directed the initial episode), Jim Patterson, Bob Daily, and John Amodeo. Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully are specifically listed as executive producers for the pilot episode. The production company responsible is 20th Television.
