As a seasoned gamer who’s seen countless love stories unfold within the virtual worlds I inhabit, this TikToker’s tale has to be one of the most unusual yet heartwarming ones I’ve come across. It’s like a script straight out of a romantic comedy, with a dash of ‘Groundhog Day’ twist!
A user on TikTok was given another opportunity for romance with her former partner, as he endured a concussion and inadvertently forgot that they had parted ways.
On TikTok, Jenna Brotherson disclosed an unusual turn of events: In 2020, she ended things with her boyfriend Mitchell, but then they got married just seven months later, following a concussion that made Mitchell forget about their breakup.
On October 27th, a widely shared presentation by a content creator based in Utah detailed an unexpected tale. The initial slide of the post featured her visibly emotional, with the caption “Me, after a breakup with my boyfriend due to being overloaded with life’s demands at the moment.
In the following image, she shared a photo of Mitchell. Accompanying it was this message: “Him forgetting our breakup due to his concussion.” The last picture, however, was a happy wedding snapshot labeled, “Us, seven months down the line.
In my own words, I’d title this slideshow “Life sure has a sense of humor sometimes,” and pen down the caption as “Boy, am I grateful he didn’t recall our past, and what a sweetheart he turned out to be!” My post, filled with heartfelt emotions, swiftly gathered over 958,000 views.
In a video for bedtime stories, Jenna mentioned that following their separation, Mitchell headed to Beaver Mountain in Utah for skiing the next day. Unfortunately, the weather had made the slopes incredibly slick, and when Mitchell lost control, he fell onto his head, losing consciousness.
After coming to from a serious head injury, he couldn’t recall the incident of their breakup. Perplexed, he phoned Jenna, requesting she come get him instead.
After the occurrence, he persisted in messaging her and attempting to meet up, a situation that left Jenna puzzled as they had already parted ways.
Remorseful about her choice, the TikTok user hesitantly suppressed her dignity to inquire whether they could rekindle their relationship. At that instant, it became clear to them both that Mitchell remained unaware of their initial split.
Jenna clarified she discussed their split and revealed their conversation during their car ride where they chose to part ways, with him. However, he recalled only one thing – their discussion in the car, but not the specifics of what was said or their decision to end the relationship.
Luckily, Mitchell found it incredibly amusing that he had overlooked their breakup, whereas Jenna admitted feeling relieved. She added that reconciling was effortless for him since it seemed as though they had never parted ways.
Five months down the line, they became engaged, and tied the knot in September 2020. Jenna mentioned, “In his speech, my spouse spoke about forgetting our split but expressed immense gratitude for everything eventually turning out well.
At the age of twenty-seven, recounting our love story is always a delight for us both. It seems as though unseen threads have been guiding us towards each other throughout our lives.
