TikTok star Tanner Martin announces his own death from colon cancer in final video

Tragically, Tanner Martin, who along with partner Shay forms the popular TikTok duo known as Tanner & Shay, passed away at the young age of 30 due to colon cancer. In a heartfelt video posted on June 25th, he shared his own news about his passing.

Tanner Martin received a diagnosis of advanced stage colon cancer shortly following his and Shay’s second wedding anniversary. Since that time, the two have been sharing their experiences through videos on TikTok, amassing over 617,000 followers in the process.

In his final communication, Tanner conveyed a sense of eagerness about reuniting with friends and relatives beyond this life, subtly underscoring his appreciation for the unwavering backing they had provided throughout the years.

On the very same day, another video was uploaded featuring Tanner swaddled in a blanket and equipped with a nasal cannula. In this video, he requested that well-wishers contribute to a GoFundMe campaign to assist Shay and their newborn daughter, affectionately known as Jiaozi (AmyLou), during his temporary absence.

People expressed heartfelt words of encouragement and comfort towards Shay and her daughter following Tanner’s passing, their messages aimed at providing solace during this difficult time.

Over a short period of just about 24 hours, Tanner’s GoFundMe campaign has accumulated approximately 72% of its target $750,000, having successfully garnered pledges totaling $543,000 at the time this text was written.
