Thunderbolts Smashes MCU Records with Sky-High Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is regaining its momentum with the latest Marvel production, which not only received praise from critics – an impressive feat – but also garnered one of the highest audience ratings in the MCU’s history on Rotten Tomatoes.

After its sneak peek on May 1st, the movie has been garnering numerous accolades from fans who haven’t yet had a chance to watch it before others. Despite criticisms of superhero burnout and underwhelming reviews and box office performance for many of their prior films, Thunderbolts is regaining momentum with a promising start to its weekend release, accompanied by a leading 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

At present, the movie shares the third spot with Spider-Man: Far From Home, and it falls slightly short of the 98% audience ratings achieved by Spider-Man: No Way Home and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Or, in a shorter form: The film is currently joint-third with Spider-Man: Far From Home, and its audience scores trail slightly behind those of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Shang-Chi.

‘Thunderbolts*’ Is Giving the MCU the Pre-Avengers Kick It Needs

This upcoming summer will see a fierce competition between James Gunn’s “Superman” and Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four”, but for now, this weekend is set to be dominated by the lesser-known “Thunderbolts”. Following the mediocre box office performance and mixed critical reviews of “Captain America: Brave New World”, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is seeking a boost – and it’s getting one through an unexpected team formation, reminiscent of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” ensemble. As suggested by the synopsis:

As a die-hard fan of cinematic masterpieces, let me share my take on the upcoming Marvel Studios’ movie, “Thunderbolts.” This time, they gather an unusual gang of antiheroes: Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker. When we’re all drawn into Valentina Allegra de Fontaine’s deadly trap, these disenchanted outcasts will be compelled to embark on a perilous journey that will make them face the deepest, darkest secrets of their past. Will this fractious band tear each other apart or discover redemption and unite as something greater before it’s too late? The suspense is killing me!

As a die-hard Marvel fan, I’m thrilled to share that some familiar faces are reprising their roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus will all be back. But that’s not all, we’ve got some new additions to the MCU family—Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, and Wendell Edward Pierce are joining us too!
