This Underrated Mario Game Just Arrived On Switch Online

Nintendo has recently expanded their Switch Online library with two fantastic Game Boy games: Mario’s Picross and Donkey Kong ’94. The first one paved the way for the popular logic puzzle genre, which is widespread today but was scarce in 1995. Interestingly, the same developer responsible for Mario’s Picross, Jupiter Corporation, has also developed the Picross S series for the Switch.

Initially, Donkey Kong ’94 appears to be a reboot of the classic arcade game Donkey Kong. However, the Game Boy version evolves into a challenging combination of puzzle-platformer genres, with Mario stepping up to save Pauline. Previously, Nintendo unveiled that they’re going to remove a Switch Online game from their service for the very first time within Japan. This particular title, recognized as Super Formation Soccer but referred to as Super Soccer in the U.S., will no longer be available on March 28th.

Last month, an unusual game from Nintendo titled Wario Land 4 was added to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Prior to this, the top-tier subscription service introduced a racing game called Ridge Racer 64.

A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is priced at $20 per year for single users and $35 for families, offering access to games from the Game Boy, NES, and SNES systems. For a more comprehensive experience, the Expansion Pack costs $50 annually for individuals and $80 for families, including extra features like libraries of games from Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Genesis systems.
