2025 looks set to see Superman as one of its most anticipated films, and as we draw closer to its cinema release (less than a month now!), you might be wondering when ticket sales will start.
The DCEU (DC Extended Universe) has come to an end, and a fresh start for DC movies is approaching, excluding Creature Commandos. The new phase of DC films on the big screen will commence with James Gunn’s version of Superman, as David Corenswet takes over the role from Henry Cavill, portraying Superman instead.
Among the three significant films set to hit cinemas in July, they will compete for viewers’ interest, standing alongside Jurassic World Dominion and arguably The Fantastic Four: Origin Story, the much-anticipated debut of Marvel’s founding team.
In other words: The Fantastic Four movie isn’t released until July 25, while Superman hits theaters on July 11, but you can purchase tickets for Fantastic Four right now.
When are Superman tickets on sale?
Superman tickets are expected to go on sale on June 12. Why? Because that’s Superman Day!
To be fair, Superman’s birthday is celebrated twice a year. One occasion falls on April 18, marking the day when Action Comics #1 was published, which introduced the world to Superman for the very first time.

Superman gets two birthdays each year! April 18 is one of them, because that’s when he made his debut in Action Comics #1.
The association between June 12th and Superman is a more modern one. This is due to the fact that the movie “Man of Steel” was released in 2013, which led DC Comics to mark its release date as “Man of Steel Day”. Since then, it has been celebrated as another Superman Day for over a decade.
On April 18, Warner Bros shared a sneak peek of their upcoming film; therefore, it’s logical that fans will be able to purchase tickets for the new Superman movie starting from June 12.
Additionally, it’s likely that we will receive the concluding trailer for the movie soon. Based on the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) rating a new Superman trailer with a PG classification on June 3, it is reasonable to assume that it will be released online when tickets become available for purchase.
Although Superman’s opening is expected to be among the largest of the year in box office earnings, we won’t fully understand its potential size until we examine its presale figures. As suggested by an industry source, it must surpass a significant benchmark to be deemed a financial success.
