This Gorgeous Stealth Game From Game From Former Battlefront Devs Is Out In July, But You Can Play It Now

Instead of the traditional adventure gameplay you might be accustomed to, the visually stunning game “Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream” offers a unique experience. Developed by a small group of professionals who have worked on games like Mirror’s Edge and Battlefield, this captivating title has been brought to fruition. The game is slated for release next month, but you can get an early taste with the recently-released demo.

River End Games, a Swedish studio, has made available for playtesting on Steam and the Epic Games Store the demo for the game titled “Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream.” This game is set in an alternate early 1900s world where the city of Eriksholm is afflicted by an illness called Heartpox. In a mysterious turn of events, a young boy named Herman vanishes from this city.

Herman’s sister, Hanna, is the primary figure in the game, but she’ll be accompanied by two more characters, Alva and Sebastian, as the plot unfolds. Each of the main three children possess unique skills to help them overcome challenges or escape danger. However, they are unaware that the importance of their journey is far greater than they think, and the mysteries they unearth could trigger a series of disastrous events that will alter not only their lives but also the destiny of the entire city.

According to GamesRadar, the team responsible for Eriksholm was quite small, comprising just 16 individuals. Creative Director Anders Hejdenberg admitted the challenges of creating a comprehensive game with such a limited workforce, then humorously commented, “We don’t undertake these tasks because they’re simple; we do them because we thought they would be.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 15.
