Similar to its figures of Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and Megatron, Buzz features a wide range of poses and actions via voice and app commands, marking a first for Robosen as the Space Ranger is equipped with micro-servos that allow lifelike blinking and smiling when it quotes lines from the Toy Story movie. In operation, Buzz can throw punches, point his laser from the wrist, move across your desk, and perform various actions inspired by its animation in Toy Story.

With Robosen’s toys, the fun truly begins when you delve into their customization options. You can set Buzz to follow predefined actions using a specialized app. For those who crave more control, there’s a dedicated PC software that lets you tinker with the toy’s mechanics on a deeper level, allowing for fine-tuning of movements and creating personalized routines. We might even program it to dance along to Randy Newman’s Toy Story soundtrack!

From my perspective, this action figure seems like it leaped right off the screen from the Toy Story films, with an uncanny resemblance to Buzz Lightyear in his iconic Space Ranger uniform, color scheme, and dimensions. There’s a delightful Easter egg hidden on Buzz’s left foot that only dedicated Toy Story fans would spot. The figure towers at 14.6 inches and tips the scales at 3.7 pounds. Reminiscent of his original packaging, the toy comes encased in a cardboard box that mimics its near-mint condition on the toy store shelf.
