Verdict on They Nest
Recap
A doctor seeking peace and quiet in a small island town finds his retreat interrupted when the town is invaded by dangerous bugs. Now, he must work against the clock to identify these creatures before they wipe out the entire community.
Best Parts
The story’s remote setting contributes to a sense of isolation for the characters. This is heightened by the townspeople’s reluctance to accept an outsider, building tension before the bug outbreak worsens. The film also features exciting action sequences as the characters try to escape the bugs.
Worst Parts
Some of the visual effects look a bit old now and weren’t as impressive even when the film was first released. While there are glitches and bugs in the game, they don’t create a truly challenging or dangerous experience.
Final Thoughts – They Nest is an entertaining late night horror.
