„They Don't Care About Enotria and They Don't Care About You.” Devs of This RPG Blame Microsoft and Claim That the Game Will Follow Path of Baldur's Gate 3 and Wukong

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the ongoing saga of Enotria: The Last Song has been nothing short of frustrating. I’ve seen many promising games delayed or canceled due to various reasons, but this situation with Microsoft and Enotria feels like a whole new level of bureaucratic red tape.

Enthusiasts of Action RPGs, particularly those fond of the soulslike subgenre, won’t find cause for complaint lately. Following the widely acclaimed Black Myth: Wukong, the visually stunning Enotria: The Last Song is set to be released. However, it should be noted that fans eagerly anticipating Jyamma Games’ offering might need to exercise a bit more patience as they may discover that the release date has been pushed back yet again.

The creators have shared that the game titled “Enotria: The Last Song” is scheduled to launch on September 19, available on PC and PS5. Regrettably, players who own Xbox Series X and S may experience a letdown as the release for these platforms has been postponed once more. At this time, the developers are unable to disclose a new date for “Enotria’s” launch on Xbox consoles.

I was eagerly waiting for the release of Enotria, a souls-like game by Jyamma Games, which they announced would come out on various platforms including Xbox at a later date back in March. However, things took an unexpected turn when the developers mentioned that the delay in launching the game on Xbox consoles was due to complications during the porting process of Enotria itself.

“You could question why Xbox hasn’t replied to us for two months, it seems they aren’t giving much attention to Enotria or us. Unfortunately, we’ve been working on porting our Xbox Series X/S version and preparing for submission, but they haven’t responded, causing a delay in release. We’ve invested quite a bit of money into this project, yet it feels like they’re ignoring us. Interestingly, the Xbox Series X version of Enotria currently outperforms the PS5 version according to Jyamma Games CEO.”

It’s no secret that transitioning a game to Xbox Series X and S, particularly the Xbox Series S, has been posing challenges for developers. Historically, delays in releasing games aren’t uncommon – consider Dune: Awakening, which is proving to be tricky for developers on the Xbox Series S. Games like Baldur’s Gate 3 have also faced hurdles with the Xbox Series S, and Black Myth: Wukong might be an exclusive title due to a deal with Sony. Even updating games for the latest Xbox models can sometimes be troublesome. However, it’s unusual to hear that Microsoft is causing issues in this instance – usually, they go out of their way to ensure smooth transitions, as demonstrated by Phil Spencer’s efforts with Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Series X/S.
