There's No Escape In The Final Trailer For Smile 2

As a gamer with a penchant for horror movies, I must say that Smile 2 is shaping up to be quite the chilling ride! The trailer has me on edge with its eerie vibes and Naomi Scott’s character, Skye Riley, finding herself in a terrifying situation.

This week marks the return of smiles with the debut of Smile 2, but don’t expect too many genuine grins from Naomi Scott in this film. She portrays Skye Riley, a pop star rapidly approaching Taylor Swift-like fame, who unfortunately becomes the latest target of the curse. However, as hinted at in the final trailer for Smile 2, Skye’s life takes a turn for the worse as the curse begins to take hold of her.

In the initial film and its continuation, strange beings with unsettling grins torment their victims by predicting their doom. Interestingly, this entity communicates with Skye directly on two occasions in the trailer. The first instance is when Skye’s friend or romantic partner, Gemma, tells her that she deserves her current situation because she’s a terrible person.

As a fellow admirer, I might say: There seems to be only one more person, Morris (Peter Jacobson), who might understand what Skye’s dealing with. Morris shares with her that this entity exploits all the negativity in her mind to attack her. He can’t guide her on how to banish the entity or lift the curse. Here’s a chilling twist: if Skye meets her end with someone else present, the curse might just leap onto another unfortunate soul.

Parker Finn, who was both director and scriptwriter of the initial Smile movie, is once again taking charge behind the scenes for the second film, while also being responsible for its screenplay. Kyle Gallner will be revisiting his character Joel from the first movie, with new faces joining the franchise such as Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, Ray Nicholson, and Drew Barrymore.

The movie “Smile 2” is hitting theaters this coming Friday, October 18th. Until then, keep an eye out for more “Smile 2” promotional actors appearing during the MLB playoffs, including one who couldn’t resist slipping up and breaking character when a foul ball came their way.
