This implies that even if you start at level one, you can participate in the upcoming Season of the Worm Cult and still prove yourself as a competent Vestige.
Update 46 will add subclassing to the game, a long-requested feature.
ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) attracts both seasoned MMO players and those who play casually due to its engaging annual story content. However, for those who deeply immerse themselves in every aspect of the game, repetitively traversing new zones and quests can become monotonous. While it’s unclear precisely how they intend to enhance the core gameplay experience, it’s not unprecedented that Zenimax acknowledges this issue and works towards a solution.
“It’s Not A Simple Problem”

Last year, during ESO’s tenth anniversary celebration in Amsterdam, creative director Rich Lambert shared that Zenimax has recognized the player’s discontent about the game being perceived as too simple.
Lambert mentioned that they frequently receive suggestions like, “Provide a challenge level adjustment” or “Offer harder game modes.” However, it’s not straightforward because each player experiences the game differently, finding it hard for some and easy for others. Our goal is to find a balance where the majority of players can have an enjoyable experience.
One frequently proposed idea within the community mirrors an approach ESO currently employs for dungeon content: a ‘Veteran Mode’. Once you reach level 50, you can join the queue for the same list of dungeons you’ve already unlocked, but at increased Veteran difficulty. This makes enemies and bosses more challenging, resulting in higher-quality loot as your reward.
As a gamer, I appreciate the option to ramp up the challenge by activating hard mode boss fights, which not only tests my skills but also increases the worth of the loot I receive. Such a system could potentially address numerous player concerns when applied to the overworld. However, splitting entire zones among multiple players isn’t quite the same as crafting intimate four-player dungeons.
