The Zelda And Link Mixup Will Get Taken To New Levels In Echoes Of Wisdom

As a longtime fan of The Legend of Zelda series, I can’t help but feel my heart pounding with anticipation as we approach the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom! For decades, I’ve been captivated by the heroic journey of Link and the enchanting world of Hyrule. But it seems that Nintendo has decided to shake things up a bit this time around—and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

There’s an age-old joke circulating about whether the main character in The Legend of Zelda series is really named after the title character. It isn’t uncommon for parents to confuse Link with Zelda, and this mix-up might become even more prevalent when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom arrives next month.

In a fresh trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom–shown below–Nintendo unveiled that Princess Zelda is able to assume a swordfighter form. Similar to Link, she brandishes a sword and shield when transformed. Additionally, she dons clothing reminiscent of the Hylian hero, sporting a similar tunic and hat. This transformation becomes available upon discovering a mystical sword. However, there’s a limitation: Zelda can only maintain this form for a certain period, which can be extended by collecting energy in the Still World.

Moving on, Nintendo delved into details about the mysterious realm known as the Still World. This enigmatic place can be accessed when Zelda steps through the purple portals that engulfed Link. It’s a chilling landscape where Zelda will discover dungeons to delve into. Furthermore, the video hints at some of the companions the princess will meet during her journey, such as Dampe, who will construct automatons to aid her.

Towards the beginning of March, a preview for Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom was released, revealing some well-known spots that gamers will be able to explore in the game. Additionally, it was demonstrated that the princess can travel on horseback within the game.

Looking forward to September, it’s set to be overflowing with delightful games such as Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Moreover, Nintendo is reintroducing two highly-acclaimed Link and Zelda Amiibo figures in sync with the game launch. Excitingly, Best Buy offers an appealing preorder bonus for this Switch-exclusive title, which hits the shelves on September 26th.
