Approximately 60% of CD Projekt’s workforce (around 400 out of 650 employees) are currently dedicated to working on Polaris. This is a slight decrease from the number of staff members working on the project as of July 31, 2024, which was about 410 people.
CD Projekt is currently developing several games, among them being Orion, which is the upcoming sequel to Cyberpunk, with 64 team members already working on it. Additionally, there’s Sirius, a spin-off from The Witcher series, with 32 individuals involved in its development. Hadar, a new intellectual property (IP), has 15 people dedicated to it. The rest of the staff are engaged in “shared services” and other ongoing projects. For a visual representation of these numbers, please refer to the chart provided below.

There isn’t a lot of information available on what we might call The Witcher 4, or its possible title. Initially, it was suggested that the game would be out as early as 2025, though that could have altered since the announcement in 2022.
Regarding the storyline, it’s confirmed that Geralt will appear in the game; however, he won’t take center stage in the plot. Previously, Joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski mentioned that The Witcher 4 wouldn’t simply be a rehash of The Witcher 3 with fresh costumes. Instead, its goal is to forge new paths and distinguish itself from its predecessors.
Additionally, during their earnings presentation, CD Projekt disclosed that Cyberpunk 2077 has reached a sales figure of 30 million units, while the Phantom Liberty expansion saw 8 million copies sold.
