In its second week, Sony’s movie “Venom: The Last Dance” earned £2.175 million, placing it just behind the leading film. This brings its overall earnings up to a total of £9.1 million.
In the box office race, Entertainment Film Distributors’ fresh release “Heretic” earned £1.9 million in its debut, landing it in third place. Meanwhile, Lionsgate U.K.’s “Small Things Like These” started off at fourth with a gross of £890,104.
In its third week, “Smile 2” from Paramount earned approximately £600,979, raising its overall earnings to a total of £5.4 million.
The Universal Pictures’ Cannes-winning film “Anora” made its way onto the chart at the sixth spot, earning £509,005. Meanwhile, AA Films U.K.’s Bollywood production “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” entered the list at the seventh position with a debut of £408,295.
In its fourth week, “Transformers One” by Paramount took the eighth spot, earning a weekend total of £390,258 and bringing its overall earnings to £4.3 million. Meanwhile, “Singham Again,” another offering from Moviegoers Entertainment in Bollywood, debuted at ninth place with an opening weekend gross of £359,622. Lastly, Warner Bros.’ “Juror #2” completed the top 10 list with a £334,827 debut during its first weekend.
As we move forward in time, there are some significant debuts coming up this week. Among them is Warner Bros.’ “Red One,” featuring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans, which will be released on Wednesday. Additionally, on the same day, there’s a music documentary titled “Placebo: This Search For Meaning” from Abramorama.
In “Paddington 2: Peruvian Adventure,” which premieres this Friday, Paddington Bear along with his loving family, the Browns, embark on a journey to find Aunt Lucy in Peru. However, their trip takes an unexpected turn as they encounter various mishaps in the lush Amazon rainforest and towering Andean mountains of Peru. The movie stars Olivia Colman, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, and Ben Whishaw.
Universal unveils “Piece by Piece,” a unique tale narrated by Lego blocks, detailing the life journey of musician-composer Pharrell Williams, tracing his roots in Virginia up to his achievements in both the music and fashion sectors.
Mubi will unveil Andrea Arnold’s film “Bird,” which won the title at Cannes, whereas Kaleidoscope Entertainment plans to launch the comedy movie titled “The Problem With People.” Dogwoof introduces the Berlinale-winning documentary “No Other Land,” produced by a Palestinian-Israeli collective, and Sony is set to premiere the anime series called “Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom.
