HBO has indeed announced that there will be a fourth season of “The White Lotus“, yet it’s going to lack a crucial figure behind the scenes – the musician responsible for composing the series’ memorable themes.
This weekend marks the end of Season 3, and there are several unanswered questions: Will Timothy take his life in a violent manner as he continues to have gruesome visions? Will Piper choose to stay in Thailand with Lochlan? Will Saxon confront Lochlan about what happened on the boat that night? And who among the characters will meet their end before the closing credits?
Regardless of what transpires, we’re not done experiencing nights at the White Lotus resort yet, as Season 4 is on its way. Mike White is currently working on crafting the next captivating tale for us to enjoy.
Unfortunately, although there may be a new set of actors (hopefully including a familiar one like Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda; let’s keep our fingers crossed she survives), the series will not include the musical score by Cristóbal Tapia de Veer.
The White Lotus composer won’t return for Season 4 after “creative disagreements”
Tapia de Veer has contributed to each installment of The White Lotus, garnering three Emmy awards, one for his work on the Season 1 theme. Regrettably, he will not be creating the main theme for Season 4.
