It seems Mike White is considering making the next season of *The White Lotus* all about his French bulldogs! The popular HBO series will return to Europe for season four, marking the first time it’s revisited a continent after previously filming in Hawaii (Oceania), Italy, and Thailand. Where is it set?
During the Emmy Awards on September 14th, both former cast member Parker Posey and HBO CEO Casey Bloys revealed that the next season of *The White Lotus* will take place in France. Posey mentioned to *E!*’s Heather McMahan that creator Mike White is currently scouting locations in the south of France, unintentionally confirming the season’s setting. She also stated she doesn’t know if she’ll be involved. Later, Bloys confirmed to Deadline that France is definitely the location, though specific details are still being worked out, including whether Posey will return.
So no ski season?
Fans of HBO’s *The White Lotus* are buzzing about potential filming locations for the next season. HBO has teamed up with Four Seasons hotels, and three in France – Paris, the French Riviera, and the French Alps – are being considered. According to Deadline, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat on the Riviera is the frontrunner, as creator Mike White recently stayed at a neighboring hotel. This has led some to wonder if the show will skip its usual winter setting. But until we see White back in swimwear, many fans aren’t ready to give up on a snowy season just yet!

According to Bloys, the fourth season is currently being written by White. While White hasn’t shared any specifics about the new season, he hinted in an HBO Max video after season three that he’s looking to move away from the intense, dramatic style of the previous seasons. This could suggest that the long-awaited winter season will actually happen, so Parker Posey might want to prepare for some colder weather!
