As a seasoned gamer with years of combat under my belt, I must admit, the latest Archetype in Remnant 2 – The Warden – has piqued my interest significantly. Having played through the game multiple times and experimenting with various characters, I can confidently say that the Warden’s unique blend of Shields and Drones is a refreshing twist.
In Remnant 2, the newest character called “The Warden” will be available when the last DLC, titled “Dark Horizon,” launches on digital storefronts on September 24. Curious about its gameplay? Here are all the information you need.
As a fellow enthusiast, I can’t help but admire the Warden. He truly elevates the concept of ‘flat top’ to something extraordinary. He’s deeply invested in Shields and Drones, two themes that give him an impressive ability to switch between offense and support on a dime. If you share a taste for versatility, this character is tailor-made for you.
Engineer is the natural pairing for Warden, as thanks to the Prime Perk Dynamic, you’ll automatically regenerate Shield while increasing the N’Erudian Energy Reserve for both your Drone and the Engineer’s Turret. For those who like tanky builds, there’s also the Barrier Archetype Trait which means both yourself and allies will receive protection from Shields.
Regarding drones, you can interchangeably use Shield, Healing, and Attack variants. Let me explain each one:
- Shield Drone: When energized, your Drone will constantly be providing Shield to your chosen Ally until they’re maxed out, while also lightly reducing all incoming damage (it’s not clear whether this applies to both yourself and the ally, so we’ve asked and will update if we hear back). In other words, your buddy ain’t dyin’.
- Heal Drone: Similar to the Shield Drone, it will heal an ally until they’re maxed out, while also passively providing a Relic Use Speed buff. If you dig Relics, this is the ticket.
- Combat Drone: As you’d expect, this little guy will be a regular threat to enemies as it will attack anything posing a problem near your chosen ally.
The Dark Horizon” is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms for a cost of $9.99. If you have previously purchased or are currently buying the Ultimate Edition, rest assured, you’re all good and already covered!
