The anticipated release of Deltarune Chapter 5 has been slated for some time in 2026, as hinted at the conclusion of Chapter 4.
According to IGN’s observation, completing Deltarune Chapter 4 presents players with a message stating, “Continue in Chapter 5. 2026.” Given that developer Toby Fox incorporated this message within the game itself, it appears that the next chapter in this long-running series is expected to release in the year 2026.
Deltarune, created by Toby Fox, is the spiritual follow-up to Undertale, a highly successful indie game launched in 2015. Unlike Undertale, which was released entirely at once, Deltarune has been unveiled chapter by chapter. The in-game menus hint at a total of seven chapters, but they have not been published consistently.
The first chapter of Deltarune was unveiled for PCs in the year 2018. After three years, chapter 2 followed in 2021. Subsequently, gamers had to endure almost four more years before chapters 3 and 4 hit the scene on June 5, 2025, coinciding with the release of Nintendo Switch 2. If chapter 5 is indeed close to launch, its debut will signify the smallest time frame between Deltarune chapters since its inception.
Currently, you can access the initial four episodes of Deltarune on PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, the yet-to-be-released Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 platforms.
