The Voice Season 28 Has Started Filming, And I’m So Pumped To See Niall Horan Reunited With ‘Best Friend’ Reba McEntire

The coaches have returned to their iconic Big Red Chairs, marking the start of The Voice‘s 28th season. This upcoming season is slated for the 2025 TV lineup later this year, and I’m really looking forward to it! Fans are thrilled about Niall Horan’s comeback, and so am I, as his return means he’ll be rejoining forces with Reba McEntire. Their friendship blossomed during Season 24, and they became the best of friends, creating a heartwarming bond.

In a surprising twist, even Niall Horan’s heartwarming bond with Blake Shelton during his farewell season didn’t seem to be the epitome of cuteness. But then, Reba McEntire entered the picture. It appeared as though she not only filled Shelton’s seat, but also his camaraderie, as suggested by a TikTok video she posted back then.

Considering the strong bond between Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire, it’s not surprising that Niall Horan might find common ground with the artist of “Fancy.” Moreover, he appears to have been quite friendly with Gwen Stefani, even going so far as to call her a pet name at some point.

It’s unclear to me what circumstances led them to be together, but I’m simply captivated by how deeply Queen Reba appears to admire the “Heaven” singer. Just gaze at those smiles!

It’s important to note that just because Reba McEntire has similar mischievous traits as Blake Shelton, it doesn’t mean the competition on The Voice won’t be intense. Niall Horan can attest to this after an incident where she playfully broke into his dressing room and left a message on his phone before she even joined the show as a coach.

Should this be the type of lively entertainment we’re in for during The Voice Season 28, count us in! We’ve heard that Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé make a fantastic team, with Reba stating that Season 26 was her favorite. Snoop never fails to bring on the laughter and positivity, while Bublé keeps me chuckling with his corny humor.

The Canadian crooner — who’s trying to get the hat trick after winning Seasons 26 and 27 — suggested he may be struggling to film his team, posting on Instagram:

Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, looked as cool as ever in his Instagram Stories (via NBC), where he showed the enthusiastic crowd around him. Reba McEntire looked dialed in, sharing a photo of herself in her Big Red Chair and referencing her other show across the alley, as she wrote:

Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire have a tough challenge ahead, as Niall Horan and Michael Bublé are both entering Season 28 with unbeaten records. Specifically, Horan won his first two appearances in Seasons 23 and 24, while Bublé took home the victory in Seasons 26 and 27. Since each artist has won their initial two performances, at least one of them will suffer their first loss this season.

The start date for the new season of “The Voice” hasn’t been announced yet, but since filming has begun, I can’t wait to watch not only an exciting competition but also the fun camaraderie among these four coaches and the heartwarming friendship between Niall Horan and Reba McEntire.
