‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ to End With Season 3 at Amazon

The popular series “The Summer I Turned Pretty” will conclude with the release of its third season on Amazon Prime Video.

Initially, we were informed that the series would return for its third season, however, it wasn’t disclosed until now that this would be its last. As per Amazon, the finale is slated to air in July; nevertheless, a specific premiere date remains undecided at the moment of this post. The final season will encompass 11 episodes in total.

It’s not surprising that the series is continuing, given it’s adapted from Jenny Han’s book trilogy of the same name, and each season aligns with one book from the trilogy. The show first aired in 2022, followed by Season 2 being released in 2023.

The show, according to its official summary, revolves around a “multi-generational narrative centered on a romantic triangle involving a girl and her two brothers, the complex dynamics between mothers and their offspring, and the profound impact of deep female camaraderie. It’s a tale of maturation, exploring first love, first heartache, and the enchantment of an unforgettable summer.

Lola Tung heads up the acting ensemble along with Jackie Chung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, and others.
