As a college student, immersed in the vibrant world of academia and eager to expand my horizons beyond textbooks, I find myself thrilled at the prospect of Warner Bros. Television’s “WBTV College Day” at the 40th annual Boston Film Festival. The opportunity to engage with new and returning series, particularly “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” is a tantalizing glimpse into the lives of characters who share my current journey.
Warner Bros. Television is collaborating with the Boston Film Festival to organize a “WBTV College Day” during their 40th anniversary event, where they will showcase several new and returning TV shows for college students in the area. This special occasion takes place on September 19th and includes early previews of upcoming series such as “Brilliant Minds” (NBC) and “Rescue: HI-Surf” (Fox), along with the return of Max’s show, “The Sex Lives of College Girls.”
Those screenings will also feature panel discussions and Q&As for students.
“Zachary Quinto’s series ‘Brilliant Minds’, where he plays a neurologist delving into the mysteries of the human mind alongside his interns, will be screening early at Boston University (the series airs September 23rd on NBC).”
Following the post-screening discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Tamberla Perry (playing Dr. Carol Pierce), Michael Grassi (the show’s executive producer and showrunner), DeMane Davis (serving as both an executive producer and director), and Daniela Lamas (providing consulting production and writing services).
“The film titled ‘Rescue: HI-Surf’ is set to premiere at Boston University, along with a unique showing. (It’s set to air on September 22nd on Fox).”
The series, from John Wells and executive producer/writer Matt Kester, centers personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu. The post-screening Q&A will include Robbie Magasiva (“Harlan Jennings ‘Sonny’”), Arielle Kebbel (Emily Wright ‘Em’”), Kekoa Scott Kekumano (“Laka Hanohano”), Alex Aiono (“Kainalu”) and Zoe Cipres (“Hina”.
“Coming this November on Max, the third season of ‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ will be showcased at Emerson College. Following the screening, a Q&A session will take place featuring key creators such as Justin Noble, co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner; Sarah Tapscott, co-executive producer/writer; Beth Appel, co-producer/writer; Caroline Goldfarb, co-executive producer/writer; and Liz Barnes, casting director.”
The 40th Boston Film Festival live program runs from Sept. 19 to Sept. 23.
