Hulu is developing a new version of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, this time set in Orange County, California, according to People magazine. The show will feature nine new cast members, plus Jen Affleck from the original series. Filming is scheduled to begin this spring, with the premiere expected in the fall. Although the original show paused production on its fifth season following some controversy, it seems some of the drama might be moving to California – the Bachelor mansion isn’t far from Orange County.
The future of “MomTok” is uncertain after a tumultuous week. Taylor Frankie Paul’s planned season of The Bachelorette was canceled when TMZ released a video showing her physically assaulting Dakota Mortenson, her ex-partner and the father of her child, in 2023. They are also currently involved in a domestic violence case from earlier this year. Adding to the drama, fellow MomTok personality Jessi Draper is going through a divorce from Jordan Ngatikaura, a prominent figure on “DadTok,” and he has filed a restraining order against her. However, Draper seems to be looking ahead, possibly preparing for another reality show – she’s been practicing dancing with a professional from Dancing with the Stars on Instagram. As one chapter closes for these influencers, another, potentially on the dance floor, may be beginning.
