‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Chronicles Swinging Sex Scandal in New Hulu Series

As a devoted fan of reality television, I am absolutely thrilled to hear that Hulu’s newest unscripted series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” is finally set to premiere on September 6. The intrigue surrounding this show has been building since the initial teaser in January, and I cannot wait to see how the lives of these influencer moms unfold when they become embroiled in a scandal that makes international headlines.

Back in January, there were hints that Hulu would be introducing a new unscripted series called “The Secret Lives of Mormons.” Now, they’ve officially announced the premiere date: The first episode will be available on September 6, with all six episodes being released at once.

As a seasoned television viewer and avid fan of reality shows, I’ve seen my fair share of scandals that have rocked the foundations of seemingly solid groups. And now, I’m intrigued by this new series produced by Jeff Jenkins Prods. (“Bling Empire,” “My Unorthodox Life”) that promises to delve into the world of Mormon mom influencers and their explosive sex scandal.

Rob Mills, executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment at Walt Disney TV, hinted about a new series titled “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” during a panel discussion led by EbMaster at the Realscreen conference in New Orleans back in January. Hulu had previously broadcast another program focusing on the Mormon community, named “Mormon No More,” in 2022.

As a curious observer, I delved into the intriguing world of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and was captivated by the diverse experiences of these women, as showcased through their social media personas. From Taylor Frankie Paul’s (@taylorfrankiepaul) vibrant feed filled with inspiring quotes and family moments, to Demi Engemann’s (@demilucymay_) stunning travel photographs that transported me to far-off lands, each woman’s unique perspective offered a captivating glimpse into their lives.

Three Ball Games and Walt Disney Television Alternatives are additional production companies involved in the show, joining Jeff Jenkins Productions. Jenkins will serve as an executive producer, alongside Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Brandon Beck, and Eric Monsky at Jeff Jenkins Productions. Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans represent 3BMG in this role, while Danielle Pistotnik, Georgia Berger, and Lisa Filipelli are the executive producers from Select Management Group.

Hulu’s original unscripted shows remain popular, with “The Kardashians” recently receiving a new order for twenty more episodes. The fifth season of this series, which debuted on May 23, drew large viewership in the US on Hulu and internationally on Disney+ and Star+, making it the most-watched unscripted premiere of the year for Hulu in the US and a top performer globally.
