ABC has ordered another season – the ninth! – of the police drama The Rookie. The show recently gained a lot of attention on TikTok, bringing in a younger audience and leading to its renewal.
Created by Alexi Hawley, The Rookie follows Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, a 45-year-old man from Pennsylvania who starts a new career with the Los Angeles Police Department. As the oldest rookie, Nolan learns the ropes while facing the challenges and dangers of being a police officer.
