As a gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I must say that the announcement of The Rogue Prince of Persia – The Second Act has left me absolutely thrilled! I vividly remember the original release and its promising yet unpolished state, and it’s heartening to see Evil Empire taking feedback seriously and making significant improvements.
Initially released in May, Ubisoft and developers at Evil Empire made it clear that “The Rogue Prince of Persia” was still undergoing development and open to modifications. However, a recent update is not just about minor tweaks – it’s introducing significant enhancements! Evil Empire has even unveiled a sneak peek trailer for “The Rogue Prince of Persia – The Second Act,” hinting at substantial upgrades to the game.
In the game’s Steam description, the main alteration is a fresh, updated design for the prince’s appearance, along with more intricate backdrops. The colors are more intense and vivid, and the prince no longer has any purple elements in his model. The initial version only included the first act of the game, which has now been refined and enhanced to include the second act as well.
The wicked dominion is hinting at additional environments, new adversaries, extra bosses, the ability to save in multiple locations, and further modifications, all of which will be explained upon the update’s unveiling. Furthermore, language support for German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish will be included.
According to the initial act of the game, “The Rogue Prince of Persia” unfolds in the metropolis of Ctesiphon. In this narrative, players assume the role of a young, impulsive prince who unwittingly incites the wrath of the Hun army. Enraged by his actions, the Hun leader, Nogai, dispatches his cursed troops to annihilate Ctesiphon. To save his city and thwart his untimely demise, the prince must fight off enemies while employing a powerful artifact that allows him to jump through time, thus averting his own permanent death.
On November 21, you’ll find The Rogue Prince of Persia – The Second Act on Steam! The game’s development will extend into 2025 for its final version. Unfortunately, the team behind the highly praised Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which Ubisoft had employed, was dismantled and reassigned to other projects within the company.
