‘The Rehearsal’ S2: Nathan Fielder’s Twisted Return on April 20!

Season 2 of ‘The Rehearsal’ is set to premiere on both HBO and Max on April 20th. A teaser trailer has been unveiled for Nathan Fielder’s unusual dark comedy series, where real people are prepared for life’s significant events by means of extravagant simulations.

In the brief 20-second snippet, Fielder, returning with his laptop harness from the first season, supervises the setup of a stage – five identical rooms duplicated in a storage facility. As per HBO, during Season 2 of this show, “the importance of Fielder’s project escalates as he chooses to direct his resources towards an issue that impacts us all.

In the first season of “The Rehearsal,” Fielder assists a person in confessing to his trivia team about a long-standing deception regarding possessing a master’s degree. To prepare for this confession, Fielder builds an identical version of a Brooklyn bar and hires actors to portray the man’s friends. The season takes an unusual twist as someone quits a parenting experiment, leading Fielder to take on the role of a father in an extended scenario that involves him cohabiting with a stranger to raise a fictional child.

The creator behind shows like “Nathan for You” and “The Curse,” which blurred the lines between scripted and unscripted content, is leading the charge in “The Rehearsal.” Joining him as executive producers are Eric Notarnicola, Dave Paige, Christie Smith, and Dan McManus from Rise Management. Kris Eber and Carrie Kemper serve as co-executive producers, while Adam Locke-Norton takes on the producer role. Additionally, Notarnicola, Kemper, and Locke-Norton are also credited as writers for this project.
