Fortunately, the aftermath of the Pittfest shooting has now come to an end for the medical personnel working there. However, Episode 14 failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the key question we were pondering about the incident.
Ever since Episode 12, events have been deteriorating significantly. The emergency room has been inundated with casualties from a tragic mass shooting at a nearby music festival, causing an overwhelming situation.
The chaos had barely subsided when, two episodes on, Robby was unable to rescue Leah, Jake’s girlfriend. This event has its own consequences, yet it only scratches the surface of the larger issue at hand.
The captivating TV series seems to have tidily concluded the events surrounding the Pittfest ordeal, yet it appears that one particular query is intentionally left unexplained.
We still don’t learn who the shooter is in The Pitt Episode 14
It became clear to fans as early as last week that David was a decoy in the storyline of The Pitt’s shooter. Unfortunately, Episode 14 failed to reveal the true identity of the culprit.
However, does this situation significantly change things? As the ER slowly quietens down, Gloria informs us that a SWAT team has caught the shooter not far from the festival grounds, where he took his own life by shooting himself in the head. They were attempting to escape on foot, carrying a bag filled with ammunition.
Unfortunately, we only have limited information; we don’t know their name, gender, or if they feel remorse for the lives they may have impacted significantly or ended. However, there’s a significant connection to this mystery figure and David.
Ever since David was first presented to viewers in Episode 1, there’s been an increasing suspicion towards him as the potential culprit for the shooting. Cassie took it a step further by arresting him and keeping him under constant surveillance for 72 hours, making others believe he was indeed guilty. However, this situation appears to be part of a larger plot that is expected to reach its climax in the season finale.
Originally, David’s mother was consulted due to the repercussions of caring for him, notably after discovering a list of girls he intended to harm in the closing scenes of the pilot. This situation culminated in her agreeing to commit him, a decision that was met with strong resistance.
Despite Cassie’s arrest dominating the situation, we haven’t witnessed yet what will happen for David, who remains detained in a different area. However, whatever follows is likely to be highly dramatic.
