The Penguin's Penis Has A Beak, Says Star Colin Farrell

As a fan who has witnessed some truly bizarre behind-the-scenes stories, I can confidently say that The Penguin’s production takes the cake (or rather, the beak) for the most intriguing tale yet! Who would have thought that the life of an actor could involve donning a detachable, Velcro-ed penguin penis? Colin Farrell’s experiences surely make for a unique addition to his resume.

On HBO’s show The Penguin, you won’t find any scenes showing the character’s private parts. However, as revealed by Colin Farrell, the character’s design does include a beak, and artist Mike Marino created a removable genital for the Batman antagonist, which made Farrell feel queasy.

In conversation with people, Farrell unveiled that The Penguon character in the HBO series has a beaked phallus, which is portrayed by Oz Cobb. Despite this not being a full-frontal scene for Cobb, Marino, the creator, crafted a penis prop for the character. “Marino is both twisted and brilliant,” said Farrell. “He said something like, ‘I made you a penguin’s penis.’

In simpler terms, Farrell expressed his discomfort by saying, “‘Is this for real? They won’t notice, but I’m not sure if I want to work with a prop that looks like a penguin’s private parts.’ To which he was replied, ‘Oh no, it’s not what you think. It’s detachable, it sticks on with Velcro and has a beak at the end.’ After hearing this, Farrell looked as if he might vomit. ‘Yes, I did handle a penguin-like prosthetic part,’ he added, showing pictures to prove it.

This month, HBO shared a video showing the transformation of actor Farrell into The Penguin. This metamorphosis took approximately three hours, and after such intense makeup sessions, Farrell may require a respite from the makeup chair. To put it simply, the character of The Penguin seemed to have drained the actor’s energy once filming wrapped up. Despite his initial enthusiasm for reprising the role, at the conclusion of this experience, he voiced his dislike for “donning that suit and that headpiece again.

In contrast to expectations, Batman won’t make an appearance in “The Penguin,” which premieres today, September 19, exclusively on HBO and Max. Moreover, it has been disclosed that director Matt Reeves couldn’t participate in the series due to scheduling issues, as he’s currently engrossed in working on “The Batman Part II,” set for release in cinemas in 2026.
