The Outer Worlds 2 Lets Players Choose Between First And Third-Person

In the original game, The Outer Worlds, players experienced the action solely from a first-person viewpoint. However, in its upcoming sequel, The Outer Worlds 2, players will now have the freedom to decide whether they prefer a first-person or third-person perspective for their gaming experience. At the Xbox Games Showcase during Summer Game Fest, Obsidian Entertainment demonstrated the new third-person option available in The Outer Worlds 2.

Matt Singh, Obsidian’s gameplay director, emphasized that their goal is to enable players to engage with the game according to their preferences. Some might prefer immersing themselves in a first-person view, while others may find joy in a third-person perspective. Instead of limiting options, they’ve made it possible for you to switch between these views, ensuring you can savor the experience in a manner that suits you best.

At the event, it was disclosed that The Outer Worlds 2 is scheduled to launch on October 29 across platforms like Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Similar to Obsidian’s earlier release this year, Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2 will be available on Game Pass Ultimate upon its debut. Additionally, the game has been priced at $80.
