‘The Neighborhood’ Renewed for Eighth and Final Season at CBS

“The Neighborhood” has been renewed for Season 8 at CBS, which will also be the show’s last.

It’s official: “EbMaster” has verified that the comedy series with multiple cameras will conclude after its eighth season. The last season, which is set to be aired during the broadcast season from 2025-2026, is now in production. As of now, Season 7 of this show is currently being shown on television.

According to CBS reports, the show is garnering an average of 6.4 million viewers across various platforms within 35 days after initial broadcast. Starring alongside Cedric the Entertainer are Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Skye Townsend. Bill Martin, Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer, and Eric Rhone serve as executive producers for this production by CBS Studios.

As per CBS statistics, the show is attracting an average of 6.4 million viewers within a 35-day multiplatform viewing window. Joining Cedric the Entertainer on the cast are Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Skye Townsend. Despite “The Neighborhood” coming to an end, there’s a strong possibility that the show’s universe will carry on. It’s been announced that a new series focusing on the characters portrayed by Marcel Spears and Sheaun McKinney is being developed at CBS, though it hasn’t been officially approved yet. Additionally, a spinoff titled “Crutch,” starring Tracy Morgan, is expected to debut on Paramount+ later this year.

One of only a few shows, ‘The Neighborhood,’ was not included when CBS announced the renewal of nine series for another season in February. It’s been reported that the high cost of continuing ‘The Neighborhood’ at this point in its run played a significant role in the decision to cancel the show. As for ‘Poppa’s House,’ the freshman comedy, and the dramas ‘The Equalizer’ and ‘Watson,’ they are all still waiting to hear if they will be renewed for another season.”
