The movie centers around Laura, a Berlin-based piano prodigy. During a weekend excursion to the countryside, Laura experiences a miraculous survival in a car accident. Though physically unscathed, she’s left emotionally rattled. A local woman who saw the crash takes her in, showing her compassionate care that resembles motherhood. Initially reluctant, Laura’s hosts—the woman, her husband, and adult son—eventually warm up to her presence. Over time, they establish a rhythm of family-like interactions and enjoy some blissful days together. However, their past eventually catches up with them, forcing Laura to confront her own life choices and challenges.
