‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals Identity of Dust Bunny: Here Is the Celebrity Under the Costume

As a seasoned performer who has graced the stage with the likes of Anne Hathaway and David Bowie, I can certainly appreciate the talent and charisma that Dust Bunny brings to the table. With a career spanning from humble coffee-making beginnings to becoming an unexpected TV star, this enigmatic figure has undoubtedly collected more than just dust over the years.

SPOILER ALERT: Details follow for Season 12, Episode 4 of “The Masked Singer,” “Sports Night,” which aired October 16 on Fox.

In the year 2024, Andy Richter will be revealed as the Dust Bunny on “The Masked Singer.” Known for his roles as Conan O’Brien’s sidekick on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” and “Conan,” as well as the star of “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” and “Andy Barker P.I.,” Andy managed to leave the panelists guessing, as no one was able to correctly identify him on the show.

Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora each gave their guesses about who someone was. Jenny thought it was John C. Reilly, Ken guessed Will Ferrell, Robin named Chevy Chase, and Rita said it was Jay Leno.

From the start of my career in the entertainment industry, making coffee was my humble beginning,” Dust-Bunny-as-Richter shared in his ‘Masked Singer’ introduction. “Little did I know that my big break would come when I was asked to fill in for someone to test the lighting setup. It turned out that I had a knack for being on camera. Over time, I’ve accumulated quite a roster of acting partners – Anne Hathaway, David Bowie, and even Marlon Brando. However, there’s footage of us working together that remains unseen.

The show “Sports Night” kicked off featuring hosts Joel McHale and Nikki Glaser introducing a performance by panelists Thicke and Ora. In a boxing ring, Thicke and Ora took turns singing “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” originally performed by Scorpions. Ora emerged victorious in their tag team competition. Previously, Glaser was known as “Snowstorm” on Season 8 of “Masked Singer.” McHale, on the other hand, often appears as a panelist on that show and recently appeared promoting his relationship with Showbird, which turned out to be none other than his co-star Yvette Nicole Brown from “Community.” Throughout the episode, McHale and Glaser provided commentary from the sidelines.

In “The Masked Singer” season 12, Andy Richter transformed into Dusty Bunny, Paula Cole emerged as Ship, Marsai Martin was revealed as Woodpecker, Yvette Nicole Brown was unmasked as Showbird, and John Elway stepped out as Leaf Sheep, each revealing their identities.

In Season 12, the hosts remain unchanged with Nick Cannon leading the team, and panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Robin Thicke are back by his side. For the second year running, Ora takes over for Nicole Scherzinger’s position at the desk.

Season 12 of ‘The Masked Singer’ will feature episodes themed around milestones, such as Mattel’s Barbie reaching its 65th anniversary and the movie ‘Footloose’ turning 40. Miley Cyrus will have an episode dedicated to her music, while a new event, ‘Who Are You Fest,’ showcases popular festival songs. Additionally, there will be episodes themed around sports, the ’60s, and memorable festivals. Returning themes include ‘Soundtrack of My Life’ and ‘Thanksgiving Night.’

This season, hints will be cleverly hidden within costumes, song selections, and significant stage events. Moreover, the fifteen famous contestants will receive support from a “Star-studded Masked Advisor,” comprising former participants such as Dick Van Dyke (Season 9’s Gnome), Jewel (Season 6 champion as Queen of Hearts), Ne-yo (Season 10 winner as the Cow), and DeMarcus Ware (Season 11’s Koala). Additionally, the “Ding Dong Keep It On” gong will return, but only one performer in each group final can secure their spot.

Season 12 features 15 contestants performing in new costumes including “Ship,” “Leaf Sheep,” “Woodpecker,” “Chess Piece,” “Bluebell,” “Buffalo,” “Showbird,” “Dust Bunny,” “Goo,” “Strawberry Shortcake” and more.
