The Love Islanders Winning (and Losing) the Post-Villa Press Tour

The cast of Love Island has vacated the villa and instead of returning to their homes or taking a break from reality TV for six weeks, they’ve moved to Los Angeles. They’re now busy with TikTok videos, podcasts, visits to Disneyland, and other ways to unwind after being cut off from the outside world. It’s no longer villa life anymore! The cast can be divided into two groups: those who were eliminated before or during the episode 27 “Burst Your Bubble” challenge, like many from Casa Amor, and those who lasted until week four, including finalists. Although not everyone’s post-show content may be as captivating as a Call Her Daddy interview, at least they can hang out on each other’s TikTok lives.

At present, all three finalist couples – Iris/Pepe, Nicolandria, and Amaya/Bryan – are still going strong, along with less favored pairs Chelley and Ace, and Clarke and Taylor. However, this doesn’t limit the enjoyment to just these couples. Below, we take a look at the Islanders who are making the most of their newfound popularity ahead of the reunion airing on August 25th.

Winners

Jeremiah

Beyond launching a book club, Jeremiah has been quite busy lately. On June 25th, he did interviews for The Viall Files, arranged a special order at Chipotle, filmed his debut TV show on the Universal Studios lot, and collaborated with Kai Cenat via streaming. He’s still socializing with friends such as Austin, Belle-A, and Charlie, but it appears he’s leaning more towards pursuing independent activities like discussing anime and reading.

Nic

Currently, Nic has no intention of reaching out to his ex-acquaintance Cierra, as he discussed during an episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast on July 15. He explained that he had a heart-to-heart with himself and decided to remain in the villa if the happenings outside aligned with his values, because it could be misconstrued as support for those actions. Now, having emerged from the situation and gaining a clearer perspective, he can judge whether his values align with what is happening. In several interviews since then, Nic has skillfully navigated the Cierra issue and kept the Nicolandria fanbase flourishing.

Olandria

Nic has been keeping his lip-gloss duo in his pockets during their post-finale interviews, reminding Olandria of his cowboy side. It’s incredibly endearing. He took her on her dream date to Disneyland, which is sweet and he knows it. Nick is trying to persuade her to relocate to L.A. with him, and it appears she’s receptive, telling E! News, “I’m a girl from the South. I was raised in the Deep South. I’m currently residing in Texas, so I will think about it. I will consider a move for the right person or the right opportunity.

Huda

Huda, who refers to herself as a homebody, has been taking it easy lately. She recently did a lengthy interview on the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” which was released on July 17, where she discussed her turbulent childhood and the events leading up to her participation in “Love Island USA.” However, her time in the villa was incredibly stressful, and as the adopted child of Nic and Olandria, she’s been spending time with the remaining final four couples (excluding Chris) wherever they are staying in L.A. In other words, she’s been lounging around, enjoying a bowl of cereal in comfortable clothing. This is an ideal way to unwind after wearing a bikini and eating pancakes almost non-stop for nearly two months.

Iris

On July 15th, as reported by TMZ, Iris reconnected with one of her closest villa associates, TJ. Although TMZ attempted to portray Iris and TJ’s interaction as flirtatious rather than friendly with Pepe, the true footage suggests a more platonic relationship. Iris clarified that they were working through their past experiences in the villa. However, since leaving the villa, Iris has made headlines for appearing on Gabby Windey’s podcast, set to air on July 17th. Could Gabby mentor Iris in the game ‘Traitors’?

Pepe

Following the final episode, Pepe makes it clear that he’s still committed to Iris and has reached out to Hannah in an effort to find closure. Given their mutual support since leaving the villa, we expect things will go smoothly between Hannah and Iris. Living in Southern California, Pepe has been socializing with regular folks and reconnecting with his canine companion. Indeed, just like Superman, Pepe had a faithful blonde dog patiently waiting for him upon his return home!

Amaya

Amaya, affectionately known as the People’s Princess, further solidified her royal status during a livestream with Bryan and Nic when she casually mentioned “pre-rolls” and asked if the “plug” was coming through. It’s clear she meant the plug for Spotify. On July 16, Amaya visited the Call Her Daddy podcast, and while there wasn’t much juicy gossip to share, she did offer some insightful advice.

On her past relationships: “A laxative was taken because I went through some shit!”

On Huda during the Heart Rate Challenge: “I was also mesmerized by the booty.”

On rumors of Nic wearing a wig: “I’m gonna double-verify tonight and tug on his hair.”

Chelley

It’s not just Olandria who is thinking about relocating to L.A.; on July 11, Chelley announced her own move to Los Angeles, though she hasn’t specified the exact date yet. Similar to the other residents of the villa, Chelley has kept a low profile on social media since her return and has been spending time with Ace and the other Islanders at Disneyland. Remarkably, both Chelley and Olandria managed to collaborate with Marlon Wayans on videos.

Clarke

Just like Taylor, I’ve noticed Clarke gracing various talk shows lately. She appeared on The Viall Files on the 15th of July, Chicks in the Office on the 11th, and Access Hollywood on the 10th for a heart-to-heart conversation. Occasionally, she pops up on TikTok, but it seems she’s not heavily focusing on social media since her villa days. It was refreshing to see her laugh off someone referring to Taylor as “three dreads” during a live TikTok session, showing that she takes everything in stride.

Ace

Ace is quieter than his peers, having more followers upon entering the villa but not actively engaging on social media; he’s granted a few interviews and is spending most of his time with Chelley, they were even seen coordinating outfits for a trip to Disneyland together. However, an important event is imminent: Ace needs to reunite with Babar soon.

Losers

Austin

Austin chose to focus on addressing accusations of racism just once, specifically on July 4th, by asserting that he’s not racist, given the Black woman tattooed on the side of his body. On the same day, he also showed support for fans urging him to “please vote blue in 2028”. Since leaving the villa, Austin has taken ownership of an anime-girl filter and has been linking up with Tara Yummy and David Dobrik to grow his social media presence. It appears that he no longer holds his previous job outside of ‘Love Island’.

TJ

It appears that despite his frequent sharing of fan-edited videos featuring him and Iris accompanied by Goo Goo Dolls songs, it seems their relationship might be strictly platonic. TJ has been hanging out with other bachelors from Love Island and posting numerous TikToks together, creating quite a buzz among the #MomTok community.

Cierra

Following her dismissal from the show due to a racist remark against Asians on Instagram, Cierra posted an “accountability” video on July 9, acknowledging Peacock’s decision: “I believe this situation warranted punishment, and the punishment has certainly been served.” It appears that the remaining cast members are not spending time with Cierra. However, Andreina and Jaden have left comments expressing their continued support for her, while Iris has liked several of her recent posts.

Chris

Despite standing at an impressive six feet eight inches tall, Chris has kept a low profile following the finale of Love Island. His sole interview was conducted on Nick Viall’s podcast, during which he defended Huda in both the Heart Rate Challenge and the Parenting Challenge, as some other Islanders had criticized her for taking things too far and being overly serious. Chris can be seen in a few TikTok posts with his fellow cast members occasionally and has hosted several Lives, mentioning that he spends time with Huda socially.

Bryan

Following Amaya’s global press tour, Mr. Papaya has some remarks prepared for Zak during their reunion, but has not engaged with him online as of yet. He expressed to Variety that he “disapproves of the things he is saying” and is ready to address his comments in front of Andy Cohen and Ariana Madix.

Taylor

As a movie reviewer looking back, Taylor’s been more active since his departure, but he seems to be treading cautiously. Recently, he shared a TikTok expressing gratitude for hotel slippers – not exactly blockbuster material, but it’s a start!

With Clarke, he’s made a few podcast appearances, yet what we yearn for is a deep dive in a solo interview. On July 16, I caught him playing basketball with Ace, and they had an outing to Disneyland with the Nicolandria and Chellace. It’s great to see these moments, but honestly, I can’t help but crave some thrilling rodeo action!
