The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 Cast Sets Exciting HIMYM Reunion

The television series “The Lincoln Lawyer” has recently welcomed Cobie Smulders into its cast for season 4. This news hints at an exhilarating reunion from “How I Met Your Mother”. Smulders gained significant recognition as Maria Hill in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but she is most famously known for her role as Robin Scherbatsky across all nine seasons of “How I Met Your Mother”. Even though it ended 11 years ago, the show continues to maintain a devoted fanbase who would undoubtedly appreciate seeing actors from their favorite series appearing in quality productions.

In addition to Smulders, other actors joining the cast for season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer are Constance Zimmer and Sasha Alexander, who will take on significant roles. The upcoming season finds Mickey grappling with his most formidable challenge yet as he stands accused of murder following the dramatic finale in season 3. The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 is inspired by The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in Michael Connely’s series that forms the basis for the Netflix show. As the new season approaches, the caliber of the cast continues to impress.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4’s Becki Newton & Cobie Smulders Previously Starred Together In How I Met Your Mother

Newton & Smulders Worked Together On HIMYM For Two Seasons

With Cobie Smulders now part of season 4 on The Lincoln Lawyer, she won’t stand alone as a cast member with ties to How I Met Your Mother. Becki Newton, who plays Lorna Crane in the Netflix series, had previously appeared as Quinn Garvey in seasons 7 and 8 of How I Met Your Mother. The character, engaged briefly to Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney, experienced a lack of trust due to their tumultuous relationship. Some of this distrust stemmed from Barney’s previous romance with Robin.

In the eighth season of “How I Met Your Mother,” Quinn assisted Robin in playing a prank on Barney during his bachelor party, following their own engagement. Now, fans of the show may have the opportunity to see the original cast reunited again in Season 4 of “The Lincoln Lawyer.” Although it’s not yet known who Smulders will portray in this upcoming season, given her prominence, it seems likely that she will take on a significant role. It is possible that she might even play someone on the prosecution team, making her an adversary for Mickey’s squad if that were to be the case.

Given that Lorna remains an integral part of the team and her progression from legal aid to attorney, if Smulders has any involvement with Mickey’s case, it is likely that she will encounter Lorna. With Mickey requiring all the assistance he can find as hinted in the finale of “The Lincoln Lawyer” season 3, we hope that Lorna’s new lawyer status will provide more opportunities for her to shine. Regardless of what lies ahead, it would be a delight for “How I Met Your Mother” fans to witness Smulders and Newton collaborate once more, this time in an entirely fresh setting.

Cobie Smulders Recently Had Another How I Met Your Mother Reunion In A New TV Show

Smulders Has A History Of Reuniting With Former HIMYM Cast Members

As a devoted fan of “How I Met Your Mother,” it would be hard to resist the opportunity to see some of my favorite actors from the series collaborate again. Interestingly enough, Cobie Smulders, who portrayed Robin Scherbatsky in the beloved sitcom, recently made this dream a reality. She appeared as a guest star in “Shrinking,” during the second season of the Apple TV+ series. The comedy-drama is headlined by Jason Segel, my fellow cast member from “How I Met Your Mother” who played Marshall Eriksen throughout the entire CBS show’s run.

In a short yet impactful scene in Shrinking, Smulders and Segel were reunited, leaving open the prospect of a more extensive narrative that may unfold between them later on. Despite How I Met Your Mother concluding over a decade past, it’s delightful to witness actors from this beloved show continuing to shine in prominent roles such as Smulders reprising her character Robin in the spinoff series, How I Met Your Father. Her ties to the original production remain strong through her ongoing relationships with fellow cast members.

Besides appearing in “Shrinking”, Smulders also had a recurring part in the Netflix series “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, starring Neil Patrick Harris. Following this, she was involved in “Friends from College”, a comedy where Sarah Chalke (from “How I Met Your Mother”) appeared in season 2. It’s intriguing to note that Smulders’ reunion trend with her “How I Met Your Mother” co-stars continues with “The Lincoln Lawyer” in its fourth season.
